MacaKit project is a launch campaign designed for Smart Bugs’ Macakit.
Macakit is an innovative kit for the optimal farming and fostering of the Swallowtail (Papilio machaon): a large, brightly coloured butterfly.

In order to place Macakit into the educational perspective of parents, we wanted to ensure a fresh and compelling depiction of the caterpillar growth process. Our main focus was to avoid any kind of humanization of the bugs, that would eventually lead to the caterpillar being thought of as a toy.
Instead we focused on the chance to cultivate care and adventure.
In order to do that the promotional materials stand out thanks to a bold and vibrant palette, oftentimes inspired by the same Swallowtail’s colours.
The recurring themes being the uncovering of nature and the mysteries it entails.
